Job Description: TopSider Ice Cream Shop Clerk (CPM)

Reports to: Marina Store Supervisor

Do you love ice cream? Do you enjoy working with people? Looking for a fun, fast-paced seasonal job? We’re hiring energetic, friendly team members to join our busy ice cream shop for the season!

Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers and take customer orders
2. Scoop and serve ice cream with a smile
3. Handle cash/register transactions with hospitality and friendliness
4. Keep the shop clean, stocked, and running smoothly
5. Create a fun, welcoming experience for every customer
6. Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
7. Keep workspace clean and organized
8. Clean the windows, doors, counters, and coffee service, if applicable
9. Vacuum and clean the store every day after closing
10. Maintain an awareness of and comply with any applicable laws and regulations, including safety and handling of fresh food
11. Maintain a professional relationship with all vendors, management, co-workers, and customers
12. Ensure adherence to departmental and / or operations policies, procedures, and practices
13. Perform such duties as assigned by the Marina Store Supervisor and management

Minimum Qualifications and Requirement:

1. Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
2. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
3. Positive attitude and great customer service skills
4. Reliable and punctual
5. Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
6. Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting 30lbs+
7. Demonstrate ability to perform efficient and correct calculations
8. Previous experience as a cash register preferred
9. Maintain a pleasant demeanor and ability to get along with customers and co-workers
10. Ability to problem-solve when attending to customer needs and complaints
11. Ability to clearly communicate with management and co-workers
12. Must have strong organizational skills and be comfortable in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
• Work at heights of up to 20 feet
• Standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, reaching, grasping.
