Reports to: Marina General Manager

The Dockhand’s responsibility is to provide high quality service to customers at the dock.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Provide immediate assistance to customers at the dock
2. Provide friendly service while selling and stocking inventory
3. Assist with checking boats in and out
4. Clean ramp and steps regularly
5. Assist customers in store
6. Operate POS system in store
7. Handle cash
8. Stock inventory as needed in store
9. Must be able to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs
10. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
• Provide excellent customer service and create a hospitable environment for customers
• Must be age 16 or older
• Must be available to work weekends and shifts beginning at 7:30am and ending at 8:00pm
• Must be able to work all summer holidays
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to stand for the entire workday
• Must be able to multitask
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be friendly to all customers and team members
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings
• Strong passion for providing excellent hospitality and customer service
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all marina operations to be able to assist at all times
• Adaptable to work composed of a variety of different tasks
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time despite interruptions
• Ability to make independent decisions and determine the appropriate course of action
• Professional conduct and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with team members, customers, tenants, vendors, and government personnel
• Strong work ethic and personal commitment
• Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department, and company goals
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working around water
• Stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, twist, reach, grasp, push, pull
